Garlic Rice – Homemade Easy Recipe

Garlic rice is one of the flavorful and versatile dishes.

I love garlic rice because it is a comfort food and easy to make without any complex preparation and ingredients required. I am a lazy person and always want the 5-minute recipe to make. That’s why garlic rice is my everyday go-to dish and easily goes with any main course with an amazing combination. Garlic rice adds a rich and appetizing depth to rice. Garlic Rice Recipes

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 15-20 minutes

Serving: 2-3 persons

What you need:

  • 2 cups boiled rice
  • 6-7 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or butter (unsalted)
  • ½ teaspoon salt ( or to taste)
  • ¼ teaspoon white pepper
  • ½ tea spoon Soya sauce
  • ½ teaspoon Chicken powder
  • Optional: Chopped parsley or green onion for garnish

How to make:

  1. Heat oil or butter in a large wok over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped garlic to the wok and stir until golden brown and fragrant but not burnt about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add boiled rice to the wok increase the flame to high and break up any clumps.
  4. Stir well to combine rice with garlic.
  5. Add salt, white pepper, soya sauce, and chicken powder to taste. Stir-fry the rice for 6-8 minutes on medium flame.
  6. Turn off the flame and garnish it with parsley or green onions.
