How to Make Paw Patrol Cake?
What You’ll Need?
Paw Patrol Cake
Ingredients
- 1 homebaked or pre-bought chocolate sponge cake
- Chocolate ganache
- 16 two-finger Kit Kats
- 3 large bags of M&Ms (or Smarties)
- Ready roll/mold marzipan
- Small paintbrush and apricot jam
- Paw Patrol cake toppers
- Ribbon
Instructions
- Prepare the Base: Place your homebaked or pre-bought chocolate sponge cake on a cake board or serving plate. Cover the top and sides of the cake with a generous layer of chocolate ganache, using a spatula to smooth it out evenly.
- Create the Kit Kat Border: Break apart the 16 two-finger Kit Kats and carefully press them upright around the outside of the cake, so they form a solid border. Once the entire cake is surrounded, tie a colorful ribbon around the Kit Kats to secure them in place and add a decorative touch.
- Add the Candy Topping: Open the 3 large bags of M&Ms (or Smarties) and pour them over the top of the cake, spreading them out to cover the entire surface. The candy should create a vibrant, fun look that kids will love.
- Make Marzipan Decorations: Roll out the ready roll marzipan and use your hands or small cookie cutters to shape paw prints or bone designs. Lightly brush a small amount of apricot jam on the back of each marzipan piece using a paintbrush, then stick them onto the cake or the cake board for added decoration.
- Add the Paw Patrol Toppers: Finally, arrange the Paw Patrol cake toppers on top of the candy layer, placing them strategically to bring the theme to life. Make sure they are secure so they stay in place.
